Starting my study in Corinthians

Well, I decided to start studying in Corinthians. So here is what I got out of it:

  • 10-17: We should be followers of Jesus, nothing more. So we should not follow a person, a movement or some denomination The only things that the Church body should differ in is worship style and opinions on things that the Bible is not clear and concise.
  • 22-23: Its interesting how back then, people where very similar to now. There where people looking for miracles just like there is now. Also people tried to explain things by philosophical wisdom, aka use science to explain away God.
Thanks to God, I got somethings out of what I read tonight. In the past when I read the Bible, I would rarely get something out of it. I wonder what it would be like if there wasn't different 'Church' denomination. What do you think?

You are definately right about being followers of Jesus and nothing more. Jesus will never let us down, He will never be wrong or lead us astray. We can't put that kind of trust in any human leader.

I think if there were no denominations we would be closer and more unified with other christians.. at least I like to hope that would be the case... We would all break off into different groups anyways.. because we all like to worship differently.
