Verse 16: Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.
Why doesn't that happen now? Do we simply not have the faith?
What would happen if there where some some people who truly had the gift of healing and if people believed that God would heal them if the sick and the lame went to them and every single person was healed?
I have never seen that happen. Why? I have seen people go to healing services and not get healed. Did they lack faith? Is mass healings something that God doesn't do anymore?

I've never seen a massive group healing before. But I have seen individual healing. Remember when Logan had hand foot and mouth disease? It's supposed to last 7-10 days, he went down for a nap for 2-3 hours and when he woke up all his blisters were gone. Also, when Malachi had a fever of 104.4, we all prayed for him and just a few moments later it was down to 102. There have also been times that we've prayed and nothing happened. But God is good ALL the time, even when we don't understand Him, He is worthy to be praised. I love you so much Brandon :)
Let's keep blogging and commenting to each other, It seems to be easier with all the kids around, haha. We don't get interrupted and can have some more meaningful conversations :)
Mass healing does still happen, Brandon. I don't know why it does not happen more often, but I can tell you from personal experience that mass healing still happen!
I saw mass healing when I went to Peru on my first mission trip, July of 2002. The Peruvians in Lima brought hundreds of their sick to this large stadium in the city. We were there that night performing our drama, talking to people about Christ, and helping the church running the event.
Then someone came in to be healed of a tumor. We all prayed and watched the tumor recede. The woman left praising God... and about 40 minutes came back with hundreds of sick people and their families and friends...
We saw people cured of things from the common cold to bubonic plague. Aids to pneumonia. Tumors, broken bones, blind people, etc. It was incredible... But it wasn't us! It was God!
I don't know why there were times that Jesus healed only one person at a time. Or why at other times He healed the multitudes. We see this happen with the disciples. Sometimes they healed just one person, sometimes a multitude.
The important key to healing is to "Do as you see your Father doing." That was Jesus' answer to the miracles and healing. That He was just doing what He saw His father doing.
I think we need to really open our eyes and see what God wants to do. Then be obedient and do it!
